Without hope, there is only you.

Without your love I have no hope, for it is you who brought life to my lips and passion to my cheeks. I am but a slave to my heart, lost in it's depths, and you it's master of symphonies. Command my souls strings, raise it's voice with your strong and yet tender hand my master, my lover. I can not bare this burden without you. Save me from my most darkest fear. Myself.


Artist's Notes

The young woman grasps at the aged and frosty fabric of reality as she gazes down upon her own sorrow. She knows that hope is but an illusion, and it is that which brings her the greatest sadness. Her emotions wonder in a painful sea between the hazards, longing for a release. The release only the guiding hand of her master can bring. A release that brings great freedom of self. A freedom that allows a most beautiful and pure love.

I believe those who understand the depths of a lifestyle slave may enjoy this piece in a way others may not.

I've redone this piece a few times now, and have finally settled on this version of it. I've grown to hold a very fond place in my heart for this one, my very first photo manip, and my first piece of art in some what of six years .. when I look at it I'm reminded of so much pain, and yet so much beauty, as what it symbolizes to me .. that only those who have truly been alone shall understand what it's like to truly be at all.
